A complete 6-piece left- and right-hand beltline molding and glass run channel kit designed to restore proper window sealing, alignment, and appearance. This kit replaces worn or damaged beltline weatherstrips and glass runs to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise and vibration, and ensure smooth window operation. Designed for select 1987 fitments (verify fitment for your year/model using part number WFK 2111 87), the components are precision-formed to provide durable, long-lasting sealing and a factory-like fit. Ideal for restoration or routine maintenance, this kit improves reliability and helps protect interiors from moisture and debris while simplifying installation with a complete set of matched pieces.
Features:
- Fits select 1987 vehicles — verify fitment using part number WFK 2111 87 before purchase.
- Complete 6-piece kit includes left and right beltline moldings and matching glass run channels.
- Replaces worn seals to prevent water leaks, reduce wind noise, and minimize window vibration.
- Precision-formed, durable materials and corrosion-resistant mounting components for long service life.
- Restoration-ready: restores factory appearance and function for aging doors and windows.
- Ease of installation with matched pieces included — ideal for DIY or professional installers.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours per door (depending on experience and door configuration)
Instructions:
- Prepare the vehicle: park on level ground, disconnect the battery if required for window controls, and roll the window to a position that makes channel access possible (typically partially down).
- Remove the interior door panel: use trim tools to carefully pry off trim pieces and fasteners, disconnect electrical connectors, and set the panel aside.
- Support the glass: use masking tape or a suitable support to hold the window glass in place to prevent it from dropping while the channel is removed.
- Remove old molding and channel: detach clips or screws, and gently pull out the old beltline molding and glass run channel. Use pliers for stubborn clips and a flathead for seated edges. Inspect mounting points and clips for damage.
- Clean the mounting area: remove dirt, adhesive residue, and old sealant from the beltline and window frame using a mild cleaner and clean rags. Allow the area to dry completely.
- Lubricate the new channel: apply a light coat of silicone spray or soapy water to the inner lip of the new glass run channel to facilitate glass insertion and reduce abrasion.
- Install the new glass run channel: align the channel with the door frame and press it into place, engaging the original mounting locations. Reinstall or replace any clips, ensuring they are fully seated and secure.
- Fit the beltline molding: position the beltline molding over the door edge and press into place, verifying that all mounting tabs align. Replace any fasteners or trim clips as required.
- Re-seat the glass and test operation: remove the temporary support, cycle the window up and down several times to confirm smooth operation, proper alignment, and that the glass seals against the new run channel without binding.
- Reinstall the door panel: reconnect electrical connectors, reattach the door panel and trim pieces, and secure all fasteners. Perform a final inspection and water/noise check to confirm proper sealing.
