Inner left-hand tie rod end for 2007–2019 Ford F-150 and compatible Ford truck/SUV applications. This steering component connects the steering rack to the outer tie rod, helping translate steering wheel input into wheel movement while maintaining alignment and absorbing road forces. Built from hardened steel with a corrosion-resistant finish and a sealed ball joint, the part restores precise steering feel, reduces play, and extends service life compared with worn OEM components. Ideal for restoration, routine maintenance, or replacement after wear or impact, it delivers reliable performance and straightforward fitment when the correct application is selected.
Features:
- Fits 2007–2019 Ford F-150 (verify exact year/model/submodel fitment for your vehicle).
- Inner left-hand tie rod end for steering rack-to-rod connection and alignment control.
- Hardened steel construction with corrosion-resistant coating for long-lasting durability.
- Sealed ball joint and protective boot to retain grease and resist contamination.
- Reduces steering play, improves handling precision, and restores factory steering feel.
- Direct-replacement design for easy installation during routine maintenance or restoration.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake and chock rear wheels.
- Loosen the front wheel lug nuts, lift the vehicle with a jack, and safely support it on jack stands. Remove the front wheel.
- Locate the inner tie rod on the steering rack and mark the position of the outer tie rod on the shaft to preserve pre-removal alignment.
- Loosen and remove the outer tie rod end nut and separate the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle using a tie rod puller or pickle fork. Unscrew the outer tie rod from the inner as needed to access the inner tie rod end.
- Remove any retaining clip or lock nut securing the inner tie rod to the steering rack. Use an appropriate inner tie rod tool or wrench to unthread and remove the inner tie rod from the rack.
- Compare the new inner tie rod to the removed unit to confirm correct part and orientation. Apply grease if recommended by vehicle service instructions.
- Thread the new inner tie rod into the steering rack to the same approximate position marked earlier, and tighten to the vehicle manufacturer's specified torque.
- Reassemble outer tie rod to the new inner tie rod, reinstall outer tie rod end into the steering knuckle, and tighten securing nuts to specification. Reinstall any cotter pins or locking devices if applicable.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to spec.
- Because steering geometry was affected, have a professional wheel alignment performed immediately to ensure proper tire wear and safe handling.
