A durable right-hand door weatherstrip engineered to restore a watertight, windproof seal on sedans. This precision-fit seal (part DWR 2311 60) prevents water intrusion, reduces road noise and vibration, and protects interior trim and electrics from moisture and debris. Molded from resilient EPDM rubber and designed for long-term UV and ozone resistance, it delivers reliable performance and an OEM-like fit for restoration or replacement projects. Easy to install with common hand tools, it improves comfort, stops leaks, and extends the life of door components.
Features:
- Fits sedans — verify compatibility with part number DWR 2311 60 (right-hand orientation).
- Constructed from weather-resistant EPDM rubber for long-lasting durability and UV resistance.
- Seals door edges to prevent water leaks, reduce wind noise, and minimize vibration.
- Right-hand specific profile for correct alignment and secure retention.
- Easy to install with common trim tools; suitable for restoration and replacement.
- Helps protect interior trim and electronics by keeping out moisture and debris.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 20-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry out retaining clips or pull the old seal free from the channel using a trim tool.
- Clean the mounting surface and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow to dry.
- Compare the new seal to the old part and confirm right-hand orientation and length; trim excess if necessary using scissors or a utility knife.
- If the new seal is adhesive-backed, peel the liner as you go. If it requires adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of recommended weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal per adhesive instructions.
- Press the weatherstrip firmly into the channel along the entire length, ensuring any bulb or flange seats properly into its mating surface. Use masking tape or clamps to hold the seal in place if needed.
- Secure end points and any corner areas by pressing and smoothing to eliminate gaps. Remove any excess adhesive immediately with a cloth and solvent recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Allow adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer’s recommended time, then test the door for proper closing, alignment, and a watertight seal. Make any minor adjustments as needed.
