The Precision Door Weatherstrip Seal (Left) DWL 2311 60 is a left-side door seal designed for sedans to restore a tight, weatherproof seal around the door opening. It prevents water intrusion, reduces wind and road noise, and protects interior trim and finishes. Molded from durable, weather-resistant rubber with reinforced backing, this seal delivers long-lasting performance and simple installation for restoration or replacement projects.
Features:
- Fits sedans — left-side door weatherstrip, part DWL 2311 60; verify fit for your vehicle before purchase.
- Made from high-grade, UV- and ozone-resistant EPDM rubber for long-term durability.
- Reinforced backing ensures consistent compression and a reliable seal against water and drafts.
- Reduces wind and road noise while preventing water leaks and interior damage.
- Direct-replacement design for simple restoration or maintenance of door seals.
- Easy to trim and conform to door channels for a professional fit without special tooling.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 20-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip: gently pull it out of the door channel. Use a plastic trim tool or flat-head screwdriver if clips are present.
- Clean the door channel and mating surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive, and residue. Allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the door edge to confirm orientation and length. Trim the seal if necessary, leaving a small overlap at corners.
- Starting at the top corner, press the new seal into the channel and work your way around the door, seating the bulb and flange fully into the groove. Use firm, even pressure to engage any retaining ribs or clips.
- If the seal requires adhesive, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions, then press the seal into place and hold or tape until set.
- Check door alignment and close the door slowly to ensure proper sealing and no binding. Adjust as needed.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per instructions before exposing the seal to moisture or heavy use.
