This 4-piece left and right beltline molding kit is a direct-fit replacement for vehicles equipped with vent windows. The inner beltline pieces attach to the door with metal clips to secure the window channel trim, restore the factory appearance, and help reduce wind noise and water intrusion. Built for durability with a protective finish and precision fit, the kit restores worn or damaged trim, improves sealing around vent windows, and simplifies door restoration projects with clip-mounted installation.
Features:
4-piece left and right kit for models with vent windows (inner beltline mounts to door with metal clips)
Durable metal construction with protective finish resists corrosion and wear
Secures inner door trim to reduce vibration, wind noise, and water intrusion
Clip-mounted design for a secure, factory-like fit without welding or adhesives
Ideal for restoration or replacement to return door beltline trim to original appearance
Includes parts compatible with factory-style metal clips for straightforward replacement
Installation / Application:
Difficulty: 2/5
Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per door (both doors 1–2 hours)
Suggested Tools:
flat trim removal tool or wide flat-blade screwdriver
Phillips screwdriver or trim fastener driver
needle-nose pliers or panel-clip pliers
clean lint-free cloth
isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner
masking tape (optional to protect finish)
Instructions:
Remove the interior door panel and any associated trim to expose the inner edge of the door and existing beltline molding.
Carefully pry out the old beltline molding by disengaging the metal clips; use a trim tool to avoid scratching the door skin.
Remove and retain any reusable clips if still serviceable. Replace damaged or corroded clips with new clips (recommended).
Clean the mounting channel and surrounding area with alcohol or mild cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive, and corrosion.
Position the new inner beltline molding along the door edge and align it with the vent window opening and door contours.
If the molding uses separate metal clips, attach clips to the molding first (per clip spacing), then align and press each clip into the door channel until fully seated. For clip-on designs, press the molding firmly into place along its entire length.
Check alignment and gaps at the vent window and along the door; make minor adjustments by prying gently at clip positions if needed.
Reinstall the door panel and any removed hardware. Operate the vent/window to confirm smooth operation and verify a snug fit with no binding or unusual gaps.
