A direct-fit windshield weatherstrip designed for classic Broncos, this seal provides a secure, watertight barrier between the windshield and body for 1966–1977 Ford Bronco models. Molded from durable EPDM rubber, it prevents water intrusion, wind noise, and corrosion while restoring the vehicle’s original appearance. The no-trim-groove profile fits windshields that do not use a trim channel and offers long-lasting resistance to UV, ozone, and temperature extremes.
Features:
- Fitment: 1966–1977 Ford Bronco (front windshield)
- Premium EPDM rubber construction resists UV, ozone, and temperature aging
- No trim groove design for windshields that seat without a trim channel
- Creates a watertight, windproof seal to prevent leaks, drafts, and body rust
- Direct replacement profile restores original fit and appearance
- Easy to handle and install — ideal for restoration and maintenance projects
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level surface and protect surrounding paint with tape or cloth.
- Carefully remove windshield trim/molding and lift out the windshield if required — have a helper support the glass.
- Remove the old weatherstrip and any remaining adhesive; thoroughly clean and dry the pinch weld/channel and glass seating surfaces with rubbing alcohol or degreaser.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip around the windshield or body flange to confirm orientation and full seating before applying any adhesive.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or gasket flange only if the application calls for it; some installations rely on friction fit and do not need adhesive.
- Starting at the top center, press the new weatherstrip into the channel and work outward toward each corner, making sure the seal seats evenly and corners are fully formed.
- Reinstall the windshield (with assistance) and replace the molding/trim, ensuring the weatherstrip remains properly positioned and not pinched.
- Allow adhesive (if used) to cure per manufacturer instructions and check for gaps or leaks before driving; perform a water test to confirm a watertight seal.
