This windshield weatherstrip seal is a direct-fit replacement for 1966–1977 Ford Bronco windshields. Engineered with a precision trim groove to accept steel windshield molding, it secures the glass, seals out water, wind and road noise, and restores the original fit-and-finish. Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber, the seal resists UV and ozone degradation for long-term reliability while offering an OEM-style profile for an authentic restoration or maintenance repair. Easy to seat and finish with steel trim, it helps prevent leaks and reduces vibration for a quieter cabin.
Features:
- Fitment: 1966–1977 Ford Bronco (windshield application).
- EPDM rubber construction for long-lasting weather, UV and ozone resistance.
- Integrated trim groove to accept steel molding and retain factory look.
- Seals windshield to prevent water intrusion, wind noise and vibration.
- OEM-style profile for authentic restoration and improved fit-and-finish.
- Simple press-fit installation; works with existing windshield steel trim.
- Ideal replacement for worn, cracked, or hardened original seals during restoration.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 30–90 minutes (depending on experience and whether windshield or trim must be removed)
Instructions:
- Carefully remove steel windshield trim and the old weatherstrip. Label and store any screws or clips for reuse.
- Thoroughly clean the sealing flange and glass edge with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease.
- Inspect the windshield flange and trim for damage; repair or replace any bent trim before installing the new seal.
- If needed, lightly wet the seal's bulb and flange with soapy water or a rubber lubricant to ease installation.
- Start at one corner and press the new weatherstrip onto the body flange, working evenly around the perimeter. Ensure the trim groove faces outward to accept the steel molding.
- Use a wooden block or rubber mallet to seat the seal evenly without over-stretching. Avoid sharp tools that can cut the rubber.
- Reinstall the steel windshield trim into the trim groove, ensuring it fully engages the seal. Fasten any screws or clips snugly but do not over-torque.
- Check the seal for gaps or pinched areas. If reinstalling a removed windshield, follow glass-setting safety procedures and consider professional help if unsure.
- Perform a water test (garden hose) to confirm there are no leaks. Re-seat trim or apply appropriate sealing compound if minor leaks are found.
