A direct-fit windshield weatherstrip designed for 2-door hardtop and convertible vehicles that use steel windshield trim. This WCR 635 D style weatherseal features an integrated trim groove to accept steel molding, creating a secure, watertight barrier between the windshield and body. It prevents leaks, reduces wind noise, protects interior trim from water damage, and restores factory appearance. Made from a durable, weather-resistant rubber compound, the seal resists UV, ozone and temperature extremes for long service life and dependable performance.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours
Instructions:
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and any steel molding or retainers as needed; note clip locations and keep hardware.
- Clean the windshield channel and surrounding metal with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner; remove old adhesive, dirt and sealant.
- Inspect the steel trim and pinch weld; repair or replace any damaged areas to ensure a smooth seating surface.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip to confirm length and fit; trim excess material with a utility knife to match the original seal if necessary.
- Apply a thin film of soapy water or rubber lubricant to the bulb and groove to ease installation; use weatherstrip adhesive only where the original installation required it.
- Position the top center of the seal at the windshield crown and press the trim groove onto the steel molding, working outward and downward in small sections to evenly seat the seal.
- Use a seam roller or soft-faced mallet to firmly seat the seal into the channel and ensure the trim groove fully engages the steel molding.
- Reinstall any retainers or molding clips removed earlier and replace trim pieces as required.
- Check the installed seal for uniform seating around the windshield, then perform a water test (gentle hose) to confirm there are no leaks.
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions before driving (if adhesive was used).
