A direct-fit left-hand vent glass weatherstrip seal designed for VWL 2110 73 applications on 1973 Volkswagen vehicles. This weatherstrip seals the vent (quarter) glass to prevent water intrusion, wind noise, and vibration while restoring factory-like fit and appearance. Molded from a resilient EPDM rubber compound, it resists ozone, heat, and compression set for long-lasting durability and reliable sealing. Ideal for restoration or maintenance projects, the seal installs easily and helps preserve interior trim and glass fitment.
Features:
- Fits left-hand vent (quarter) glass on 1973 Volkswagen vehicles (VWL 2110 73).
- Molded EPDM rubber resists ozone, UV, and temperature-related degradation.
- Provides a tight seal to prevent water leaks, wind noise, and rattles.
- OEM-style profile for accurate alignment and appearance during restoration.
- Easy to install with basic tools — restores weatherproofing and interior protection.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and roll down the window (if applicable) to access the vent area.
- If necessary, remove the vent assembly or interior trim screws using appropriate screwdrivers to gain full access to the old seal.
- Carefully pry out the old weatherstrip using a trim tool or flathead screwdriver, taking care not to damage the vent frame or glass.
- Clean the channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner and dry with a shop towel.
- Apply a light coat of silicone lubricant or soapy water to the new seal to ease installation.
- Align the new weatherstrip with the vent glass/frame and press it firmly into the channel, working around the perimeter to ensure full seating.
- Reinstall the vent assembly or trim pieces (if removed) and tighten screws to secure the vent.
- Check the seal by applying water and inspecting for leaks and by listening for wind noise at driving speeds; adjust as needed.
