Instructions:
- Carefully remove the vent glass and existing weatherstrip following vehicle-specific procedures to avoid damaging glass or trim.
- Inspect the vent channel and mounting surfaces; remove old adhesive, dirt, and rubber residue using a trim tool and cleaner.
- Clean the channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip (left and right) in the channel to confirm orientation and fit; trim any excess if necessary with a utility knife.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal per adhesive instructions.
- Press the new seal into the channel starting at one end and working to the other, ensuring the bulb and flange seat fully into the channel. Use a rubber mallet or palm to evenly seat the seal where needed.
- Reinstall the vent glass and operating hardware, checking for proper alignment and smooth operation. Adjust as necessary to ensure an even, leak-free seal.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer directions before exposing to moisture or driving at high speeds.
