Instructions:
- Lower or remove the vent window assembly according to vehicle procedure to access the weatherstrip.
- Carefully peel out and remove the old weatherstrip from the vent channel; use a trim tool or screwdriver to assist if needed.
- Clean the channel and surrounding glass edges thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive remover to remove dirt and old adhesive.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip (VWR 2111 61) along the channel to ensure correct orientation and fit.
- Lightly lubricate the channel or the weatherstrip bead with soapy water or silicone spray to ease installation.
- Starting at one end, press the weatherstrip bead into the channel, working along the entire perimeter and ensuring it seats uniformly.
- If required for a permanent bond, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive at the ends or along the channel per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Reinstall the vent window assembly and operate the vent to confirm smooth movement and proper sealing.
- Allow any adhesive to cure fully before exposing to moisture (refer to adhesive cure time).
