Direct-fit left-hand vent glass weatherstrip for 1961–1967 Ford Econoline vehicles. This seal secures and cushions the vent (vent glass) while preventing water intrusion, reducing wind noise, and protecting the channel and glass from abrasion. Constructed from durable, weather-resistant rubber compound, it restores proper sealing and appearance for restoration or routine maintenance projects and installs with basic hand tools.
Features:
- Fits 1961-1967 Ford Econoline — left-hand vent glass (VWL 2111 61).
- Made from a durable, weather- and ozone-resistant rubber compound for long service life.
- Seals the vent glass to prevent water leaks and reduce wind noise and vibration.
- Direct-fit replacement designed to restore original sealing performance and appearance.
- Easy to install with basic tools; ideal for restoration and routine maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Work in a warm area if possible (rubber is more flexible when warm). Gather tools and wear gloves to protect hands.
- Remove the vent window assembly or open the vent to gain access to the weatherstrip; remove any screws, retainers, or interior trim as required for your vehicle.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: pry out the old seal from the channel using a trim tool or flat screwdriver and pull out any remaining pieces or adhesive.
- Clean the channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or a mild solvent to remove dirt, old adhesive and corrosion. Wipe dry with a clean rag.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip on the vent frame to confirm orientation. Lightly lubricate the seal edge with soapy water or a silicone spray to aid installation (do not use petroleum-based lubricants).
- Starting at one end, press the seal lip into the channel and work it evenly around the frame. Use needle-nose pliers or a trim tool to seat the bulb and lip fully into the channel without stretching.
- Trim any excess with a utility knife or scissors for a clean fit. Reinstall the vent glass assembly, retainers, and interior trim.
- Check operation of the vent glass and verify there are no gaps. Perform a water test or run a bead of water to confirm the seal is watertight.
