Instructions:
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal if required by the vehicle and ensure the window is in a safe working position.
- Remove the interior door panel and any water shields or vapor barriers necessary to access the glass channel and mounting area.
- Carefully lower or raise the glass to a position that allows access to the lockstrip area; use a suction cup or have a helper support the glass.
- Locate and remove any retaining clips, screws, or old lockstrip pieces. Gently pull out the old lockstrip from the glass channel.
- Clean the glass edge and channel of old adhesive, debris, and corrosion with a shop towel. Inspect the weatherstrip for damage and replace if needed.
- Test-fit the new lockstrip to confirm orientation and length. Apply a small amount of silicone or graphite lubricant to ease installation if desired.
- Seat the new lockstrip onto the glass edge and press it into the weatherstrip channel until it fully engages; use steady pressure and avoid bending the strip.
