Instructions:
- Open and securely prop the hood. Work on a level surface with good light.
- Remove the old seal by gently prying it out of the channel using a trim tool or flat-blade screwdriver. Take care not to damage the paint or cowl flange.
- Remove old adhesive and residue from the cowl and hood flange using rubbing alcohol or an appropriate adhesive remover. Wipe clean and allow the area to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new CS 2110 68 seal along the hood-to-cowl joint to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess with scissors or a utility knife if necessary.
- If adhesive is recommended for your vehicle, apply a thin continuous bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the cowl flange or to the seal flange following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at the center, press the seal into the channel and work outward toward each end, ensuring the seal seats evenly and aligns with any locating tabs or contours.
- Press firmly along the entire length of the seal to ensure full contact. Use clamps or tape temporarily if needed to hold the seal while adhesive bonds.
- Allow adhesive to set as recommended (typically initial set in 30–60 minutes; full cure up to 24 hours) before closing the hood or driving.
- Recheck seal alignment after the adhesive cures and make any final adjustments if necessary.
