Precision Upper Door Weatherstrip Seal DWB 2111 80 is an OEM-style upper door seal designed to fit left or right door applications and restore a tight, weatherproof seal along the window channel. Molded from durable EPDM rubber, it prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise and vibration, and protects interior trim and carpets from moisture damage. Engineered for reliable long-term performance, this seal provides an easy, cost-effective replacement for worn or damaged upper door weatherstrips during restoration or maintenance.
Features:
- Fits left or right upper door applications — verify part number DWB 2111 80 for vehicle compatibility.
- Made from resilient EPDM rubber for lasting weather, ozone, and UV resistance.
- Seals the window channel to prevent water leaks and reduce wind noise and vibration.
- Exact-profile replacement for worn or cracked original weatherstrips; ideal for restorations.
- Flexible design for easier alignment and installation without trimming in most applications.
- Helps protect interior trim and carpeting from moisture and rust-inducing water ingress.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove the door panel and any trim blocking access to the upper weatherstrip, if required by your vehicle.
- Carefully peel or pry out the old upper weatherstrip. Use a trim tool and screwdriver as needed to avoid damaging the channel.
- Scrape away remaining adhesive and rubber residue with a razor blade, then clean the channel thoroughly with solvent and a cloth. Allow to dry.
- Dry-fit the new seal along the upper door channel to confirm orientation and fit for left or right application.
- Apply a thin, even bead of recommended adhesive or urethane sealant to the channel where the new seal will sit (follow the adhesive manufacturer's instructions).
- Starting at one end (typically the door hinge side), press the seal into the channel, working along the length and ensuring the bulb and flange seat fully. Use masking tape to temporarily hold sections if needed.
- Trim any excess seal at the ends with a sharp utility knife for a clean fit. Re-check alignment and press firmly along the entire length; use a rubber mallet wrapped in cloth for stubborn areas.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product instructions before operating the window or reattaching the door panel. Reinstall trim and test for proper sealing and noise reduction.
