A left and right 2-piece door weatherstrip seal kit engineered to replace worn or damaged door seals and restore a tight, weatherproof seal. The kit prevents wind noise, water intrusion, dust, and vibration while helping maintain interior climate control and protecting door edges from wear. Constructed from durable EPDM rubber with an integrated retaining flange for secure attachment, these seals offer long-lasting flexibility and resistance to UV, ozone, and temperature extremes. Ideal for restoration and routine maintenance — verify vehicle fit by part number before installation.
Features:
- Left and right door seals included — complete 2-piece kit for one vehicle.
- Durable EPDM rubber construction resists UV, ozone and temperature degradation.
- Integrated retaining flange provides a secure, direct-fit attachment without bulky hardware.
- Reduces wind noise, water leaks, dust intrusion and interior vibration.
- Easy to install with common hand tools; restoration-grade replacement for worn seals.
- Trim-to-fit ends allow a precise seal and clean finished appearance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and open the door. If necessary, remove the interior door panel or trim pieces to access the weatherstrip anchoring area.
- Carefully peel away and remove the old weatherstrip. If clips or retainers are present, save them if undamaged or replace as needed.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or a non-residue cleaner to remove dirt, old adhesive and oils. Allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new seals by holding them against the door perimeter to confirm orientation (left vs. right) and check for any required trimming.
- If recommended, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting surface or the seal flange per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Starting at the door hinge area, press the seal into place along the channel or flange, working toward the latch side. Use a roller or your fingers to press firmly and seat the flange evenly.
- Trim any excess material at the ends with scissors or a utility knife, leaving a clean joint. Overlap or butt joints should be tight and smooth.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in position while adhesive cures (if adhesive is used). Reinstall any trim or door panel components removed earlier.
- Close the door gently to check seal alignment and adjust if necessary. Allow adhesive to cure fully (usually 24 hours) before subjecting the seal to heavy use or moisture.
