This inner beltline molding kit provides a direct-fit, OEM-style replacement for 1984-1988 Ford Bronco II models equipped with vent windows. The pair (left and right) secures the door glass, protects the inner paint and weatherseal, and helps eliminate wind noise and vibration. Constructed from durable molded rubber with corrosion-resistant metal clip backing, the moldings offer reliable long-term performance and simple snap-in installation — ideal for restoration or routine door trim repair.
Features:
Fits 1984-1988 Ford Bronco II models with vent windows — inner left and right, sold as a pair.
Durable molded rubber profile with corrosion-resistant metal clip backing for a secure fit.
Attaches to the door with metal clips to hold glass, prevent rattles, and maintain window alignment.
Protects door paint and weatherseal from wear, reducing water intrusion and trim damage.
Easy snap-in installation — direct replacement for worn or missing beltline moldings during restoration.
Installation / Application:
Difficulty: 2/5
Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
Flat-blade screwdriver
Trim removal tool or panel tool
Needle-nose pliers or clip pliers
Clean cloth and isopropyl alcohol
Masking tape
Rubber mallet (optional)
Heat gun or hair dryer (cold weather only)
Instructions:
Prepare the work area: park vehicle on a level surface, roll window glass up, and disconnect the negative battery cable if you will be removing door components.
Remove old molding: gently pry out the existing inner beltline molding using a trim tool or flat-blade screwdriver. Work along the length to disengage clips; use needle-nose pliers to remove any broken clip pieces.
Clean the mounting channel: remove dirt, adhesive residue, and rust from the door beltline channel. Wipe with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth; allow to dry.
Inspect clips: verify the supplied metal clips are intact and oriented correctly. Replace any damaged clips before installation.
Test-fit the molding: align the new inner molding to the door channel and vent window area to confirm fit and orientation before final installation.
Install molding: starting at one end, press the molding into the door channel so each metal clip engages the door panel. Use firm, even pressure along the length; a rubber mallet can gently seat clips if necessary.
Check seal and glass operation: lower and raise the window (if applicable) to ensure the molding does not interfere with glass travel. Confirm the molding is flush and that clips are fully seated.
Final adjustments: trim any excess material if present, re-secure any removed door trim or fasteners, and clean the area. Reconnect the battery if it was disconnected.
