Instructions:
- Remove old weatherstrip and any remaining adhesive from the groove using a trim tool and scraper; take care not to damage paint or trim.
- Clean the channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner and a lint-free cloth; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip pieces into the trim groove to confirm orientation and length before applying adhesive.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the groove or the seal per adhesive instructions.
- Press the seal into the groove, working from one end to the other and aligning the profile so the trim seats properly; use masking tape to hold pieces in place if needed while adhesive sets.
- Trim excess material with a razor for a clean, tight joint at corners and ends; use a rubber mallet gently if needed to fully seat the seal.
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations (typically several hours) before closing doors or driving the vehicle.
