A 12-piece windshield molding clip screw set designed to restore and secure the windshield trim on 1964-1968 Ford Mustangs. These replacement fasteners provide proper alignment and firm retention of the molding, helping prevent wind noise, water intrusion, and trim vibration. Made from corrosion-resistant metal with durable plating, the set is an easy, reliable solution for restorations or routine maintenance when original clips are worn, missing, or damaged.
Features:
  • Fits 1964-1968 Ford Mustang (all body styles).
  • 12-piece set contains clip screws to secure windshield molding and trim.
  • Corrosion-resistant plated metal construction for long-lasting durability.
  • Restores proper alignment to reduce wind noise and prevent water leaks.
  • Direct replacement for worn or missing OE fasteners; ideal for restorations.
  • Simple to install with basic hand tools; reliable retention without modifications.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 15-30 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Clean rag
  • Penetrating lubricant (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface and protect painted surfaces with a cloth or tape where needed.
  2. Carefully remove the windshield molding or pry out the old clip screws using a trim tool or flathead screwdriver; use penetrating lubricant if clips are corroded.
  3. Clean the clip mounting area and remove old adhesive, dirt, or rust with a rag and light brush as needed.
  4. Position the windshield molding in its correct location, aligning any locating tabs or holes.
  5. Insert each clip screw through the molding into the factory holes and hand-thread to ensure proper alignment.
  6. Tighten each screw snugly with a Phillips screwdriver; avoid over-tightening to prevent cracking the molding or stripping threads.
  7. Recheck the fit of the molding and adjust clip placement if necessary for even alignment.
  8. Inspect all fasteners after a short test drive and retighten if any looseness appears.
