Direct-fit windshield washer jar engineered for 1962–1972 GM cars and light trucks. This reservoir stores washer fluid, supports the washer pump and grommet, and provides a leak-resistant mount in the original OE location. Constructed for restoration and maintenance projects, it resists corrosion and UV damage, restores proper washer system function, and accepts original hardware and pump assemblies for an authentic fit and reliable operation.
Features:
  • Fits 1962–1972 GM cars and light trucks (direct-fit replacement).
  • Durable, corrosion- and UV-resistant plastic construction for long service life.
  • Holds washer fluid and secures the pump/grommet to prevent leaks and vibration.
  • Designed to match OE mounting locations for simple restoration or repair.
  • Easy to install — accepts original pump and hoses for a period-correct rebuild.
  • Ideal for restoring washer system function during classic car maintenance.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 15-30 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Socket set or wrench set
  • Pliers
  • Towel or small drain pan
  • Funnel
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake. For safety, disconnect the negative battery cable if you will be handling electrical connectors.
  2. Locate the washer jar (usually in the engine bay or inner fender) and place a towel or drain pan underneath to catch any residual fluid.
  3. Remove any trim or covers required to access the reservoir mounting bolts or screws.
  4. Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector and remove the washer hose from the pump outlet. Use pliers if hose clamps are present.
  5. Remove mounting screws or bolts securing the reservoir and carefully lower the jar out of its mounting location.
  6. If reusing the original pump and grommet, pull the pump from the old jar and transfer it into the new jar’s grommet opening, ensuring a snug, watertight seal.
  7. Position the new reservoir in place and secure it with the original mounting hardware. Reconnect the washer hose and electrical connector.
  8. Refill the jar with washer fluid using a funnel, reconnect the negative battery cable (if disconnected), and test the washer system for proper operation and leaks. Tighten fittings if necessary.
