Direct-fit door glass hardware engineered for Lincoln Continental (2017–2018) to secure and align the door glass within the regulator assembly. This replacement mounting kit restores proper glass travel, reduces vibration and wind noise, and prevents premature wear to the window regulator and channels. Built for durability and corrosion resistance, the components provide reliable, long-lasting performance and straightforward installation for repairs or restorations.
Features:
- Fits Lincoln Continental 2017–2018 (direct-fit for factory door glass mounting).
- Durable metal construction with corrosion-resistant coating for long service life.
- Secures and aligns door glass to reduce vibration, rattles, and wind noise.
- OEM-style fit and function for straightforward replacement and restoration.
- Bolt-on design simplifies repair; helps protect regulators and glass from damage.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45–90 minutes per door
Instructions:
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental window operation.
- Remove the interior door panel: pry off trim pieces, remove screws, and use trim tools to release clips; set the panel aside.
- Carefully peel back the vapor/moisture barrier to expose the door interior (preserve for reinstallation or replace if damaged).
- Lower the window glass (manually or via switch) until the mounting bolts are accessible through the access holes in the door.
- Support the glass with masking tape across the top frame or have an assistant hold it in place to prevent dropping.
- Remove the fasteners securing the old glass hardware to the regulator and glass (retain any reusable hardware if appropriate).
- Install the new door glass hardware (PHP DD26 1450) onto the glass and regulator, aligning mounting points and finger-tightening fasteners.
- Verify glass alignment and smooth travel by momentarily reconnecting power and operating the window; adjust hardware orientation as needed.
- Torque all mounting fasteners to factory specifications and fully re-test window operation to ensure no binding or noise.
- Reinstall the vapor barrier, reattach the door panel and trim, reconnect the battery, and perform a final check of window function and fit.
