A durable glass run channel designed to guide and seal a vehicle's door glass for smooth operation and reduced wind noise. This left-or-right hand channel replaces worn or damaged window seals, protecting the glass edge from wear and preventing water intrusion and vibration. Constructed from weather-resistant rubber with a reinforced backing, it restores proper window alignment and reliable up-and-down movement for long-lasting performance and quiet operation. Ideal for restoration or routine maintenance.
Features:
  • Left or right hand configuration fits single-side replacement needs.
  • Made from weather-resistant rubber with a reinforced backing for durability.
  • Guides and seals door glass to reduce wind noise and prevent rattling.
  • Protects glass edges from scraping and minimizes water intrusion.
  • Simple retrofit for restoring smooth window operation on older or worn doors.
  • Resilient material resists cracking, UV damage, and compression set.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead)
  • Trim panel removal tool or plastic pry tool
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Utility knife or razor
  • Lubricant (soapy water or silicone spray)
  • Shop towels or rags
  • Gloves and safety glasses
Instructions:
  1. Lower the window glass fully (or as far as possible) to access the channel area.
  2. Remove the interior door panel and any trim necessary to access the top of the channel (keep screws and clips organized).
  3. Carefully peel or pull out the old glass run channel from the door frame. Use a trim tool and pliers as needed to free stubborn clips or adhesive.
  4. Clean the channel mounting area thoroughly with a shop towel to remove dirt, old adhesive, and debris. Ensure the metal is dry and free of corrosion.
  5. If the new channel is stiff, apply a light coat of soapy water or silicone spray to the channel groove to ease installation (avoid petroleum-based products).
  6. Position the new channel at the top of the door frame and work it into the mounting channel, pressing along the length to fully seat the rubber into the door flange. Use even pressure—do not stretch excessively.
  7. Trim any excess material with a utility knife for a neat fit, and ensure the top and bottom ends are seated and aligned with the window glass path.
  8. Operate the window up and down slowly to check for smooth travel and proper sealing. Re-seat or adjust the channel if the glass binds or gaps occur.
  9. Reinstall the door panel and trim pieces, secure all fasteners, and test the window operation again to confirm a proper installation.
  10. Clean any lubricant residue and verify the door seals against water by visual inspection or a light water test.
