The Precision Door Weatherstrip Seal Kit, Left and Right DWK 2111 48 provides a reliable replacement for worn or damaged door seals. Designed as a left- and right-hand kit, this 48" weatherstrip restores a tight, factory-style seal to door edges to block water, dust, and wind while reducing road noise. Molded from a high-grade EPDM rubber compound, the seals resist UV, ozone, and temperature extremes for long-lasting performance. The profile snaps into place or bonds with adhesive for a secure fit, making it ideal for restoration projects and routine maintenance where durability and ease of use are required.
Features:
- Left and right hand kit — model DWK 2111 48 for door edge sealing
- Made from high-grade EPDM rubber for UV, ozone, and temperature resistance
- Restores factory-style sealing to prevent water intrusion, dust, and drafts
- Reduces wind and road noise for improved cabin comfort
- Simple fitment — snaps into channel or adheres with included/standard adhesive
- Durable replacement for restoration, maintenance, or weather-related repair
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and open the door where the seal will be replaced.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it out of the channel; use a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver to loosen any retained sections.
- Clean the seal channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or a recommended cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residues. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the entire door edge to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess if required, leaving a small overlap at corners.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of automotive-grade adhesive to the channel or back of the weatherstrip per adhesive instructions.
- Press the weatherstrip firmly into the channel, starting at one end and working toward the other. Use masking tape to hold the seal in position where necessary until adhesive sets.
- Close and open the door several times to seat the seal and check for even compression. Make minor adjustments as needed.
- Allow adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer's recommendations (typically 1–24 hours) before exposing to water or heavy use.
