Instructions:
- Open the door and remove any trim or retainers blocking access to the old weatherstrip.
- Carefully pull out the old weatherstrip from the channel; remove any remaining adhesive, clips or debris.
- Clean the channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner; allow it to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new left and right pieces in their respective door channels to confirm orientation and length.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive in the channel following adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip into the channel, starting at one end and working to the other, ensuring the seal seats evenly and the profile aligns with the door frame.
- Trim any excess material at the ends with a utility knife for a neat fit, if necessary.
- Use clamps or tape to hold the seal in place while adhesive cures (if used). Follow adhesive cure times before closing the door repeatedly.
- Operate the door several times and inspect for uniform sealing and proper latch engagement; adjust if needed.
