Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake. If working on power windows, disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental operation.
- Remove the door panel: pry off trim pieces, remove screws, and use a trim tool to release clips. Disconnect any electrical connectors and carefully peel back the moisture barrier.
- Lower or raise the glass until the regulator-to-glass mounting holes are accessible. If necessary, use masking tape to secure the glass in the up position to prevent it from falling.
- Locate and remove the old hardware (clips, brackets, bolts). Keep hardware removed for comparison if needed.
- Clean the glass and regulator mounting surfaces with a rag and mild cleaner to remove old adhesive, grime, or corrosion.
- Install the new door glass hardware onto the glass and mating regulator points. Start fasteners by hand to ensure proper thread engagement and alignment.
- Loosely tighten fasteners, reconnect the window motor (if applicable) or manually move the regulator, and cycle the window slowly to verify correct alignment and smooth operation.
- Once alignment is confirmed, tighten all fasteners securely. Reinstall the moisture barrier, reconnect electrical connectors, and reattach the door panel and trim.
- Reconnect the battery (if disconnected) and perform several full up/down cycles to confirm smooth, quiet operation and correct sealing.
