Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake, and lower the window slightly for access if needed.
- Remove the old beltline molding: gently pry up with a plastic trim tool to release clips or remove fasteners with the appropriate screwdriver or socket.
- Inspect and remove any remaining clips or adhesive residue. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth; allow to dry.
- Test-fit each new molding piece to confirm orientation and alignment. Use masking tape to hold pieces in position for final fitting if desired.
- If new clips or fasteners are required, install them on the molding per the clip locations. For adhesive-backed moldings, peel the liner just prior to final placement.
- Align the molding to the mounting channel, press firmly to engage clips or adhesive, and work along the length to ensure full engagement and even gaps.
- Reinstall any trim screws or end caps that were removed. Verify consistent alignment and that windows operate without interference.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations before exposing the area to water or heavy use.
