Features:
- Fits 1967 Chevrolet Camaro — 4-piece kit includes left and right hand moldings.
- Chrome-plated, corrosion-resistant construction restores original exterior trim appearance.
- Secures beltline trim, protects door and body seams, and helps reduce wind noise and vibration.
- OEM-style profiles for proper alignment and gap consistency during restoration or replacement.
- Straightforward installation — designed for workshop or at-home restoration projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Prepare the vehicle: park on a level surface, open doors, and protect painted surfaces with masking tape along edges near the molding.
- Remove old molding: carefully pry off existing trim using a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver. If adhesive is present, use heat (hair dryer or heat gun on low) to soften adhesive and avoid damaging paint.
- Clean the mounting surface: remove old adhesive residue and contaminants with isopropyl alcohol; ensure the surface is dry and free of rust. Repair any corrosion before installing new molding.
- Test-fit each piece: position the left and right pieces along the beltline to verify fit and orientation. Adjust as needed and mark alignment points lightly with masking tape.
- Attach moldings: use the supplied clips or fasteners where applicable. If adhesive is required, apply a high-bond automotive adhesive per manufacturer instructions and press the molding into place, aligning with your marks.
- Secure and seat: gently tap the molding with a rubber mallet or press firmly along its length to engage clips or ensure full contact with adhesive. Install any screws, rivets, or end caps included with the kit.
- Final check and cure time: remove masking tape, wipe down the trim, and allow adhesive to cure fully if used (refer to adhesive instructions). Re-check alignment and fastener tightness after a short test drive.
