Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if desired for safety.
- Raise the hood to access the cowl area; if needed, remove the windshield wiper arms following vehicle-specific procedures (mark arm positions before removal).
- Use a plastic trim removal tool or flathead screwdriver to gently pry out the old or damaged cowl clips. Remove any debris or broken plastic from the mounting holes.
- Align the cowl panel or trim into its correct position, ensuring mating surfaces and holes line up with the body studs.
- Press each new clip into the corresponding hole until it seats firmly. For push-pin types, depress the center pin fully to lock the clip in place.
- Reinstall windshield wiper arms if removed, aligning them to the marks made earlier and tightening to factory torque specifications.
- Close the hood and test for secure fitment and absence of vibration or rattling; recheck clips after a short drive.
