Instructions:
- Work on a clean, flat surface and wear gloves to protect the glass edge.
- Remove the interior door panel and any door trim or weatherstrips obstructing access to the glass run channel.
- Lower the window to a position where you can access the channel top and edges (about halfway).
- If applicable, remove any retainers or screws securing the old channel; gently pull out the old glass run channel from the door frame.
- Thoroughly clean the channel area and remove old adhesive, debris, or rust; wipe surfaces dry.
- Apply silicone spray or soapy water to the new channel and the glass edge to aid installation and prevent binding.
- Carefully slide the new channel into the door frame, aligning the reinforced backing into the factory groove; press it fully into place.
- Raise and lower the window several times to seat the glass into the new channel and confirm smooth operation and proper alignment.
- Reinstall any retainers, weatherstrips, and the interior door panel; perform a final check for leaks, wind noise, and secure fit.
