The '55-56 Fairlane 2 doors were great cars, but the doors were certainly not immune from damage and rust. Finding solid replacements can be next to impossible at any price. This inner and outer repair kit will allow you to save even severly rusted doors, and end up with a very nice finished product. Like the original, the outer skin is 20 gauge die-stamped steel, while the inner is thicker 18 gauge. To ensure proper installation the outer panel has a flange which allows proper attachment to the inner (AKA 'hemming'). The inner panel is the real key to a superior repair though. It has the proper curves and bends which will mate up with the original door. There are even holes for weatherstripping clips, and a slot for the lower hinge. This is all made in the USA.
