Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, set parking brake, and wear gloves and eye protection.
- Carefully remove the old windshield molding using a trim removal tool or plastic pry; protect paint and glass—work slowly around corners to release clips.
- Clean the windshield channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth; remove old adhesive or debris and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding in the channel to confirm orientation and clip alignment before final installation.
- If required, apply a thin bead of windshield sealant to the channel per sealant instructions (optional—follow vehicle manufacturer guidance).
- Starting at one end, align the new molding and press it firmly into the channel, engaging clips and reinforcement evenly along the length.
- Use masking tape to hold ends or corners in place while any sealant sets, if used.
- Inspect the molding for full engagement and even fit; remove any excess sealant and allow recommended cure time before driving.
- Perform a water test or visual check for gaps and ensure proper sealing after installation.
