Instructions:
- Prepare work area and park vehicle on a level surface. Protect painted surfaces with tape or cloth.
- Carefully pry and remove the old rear window molding using a trim removal tool or wrapped flathead screwdriver; remove any retaining clips if present.
- Peel away any old adhesive and thoroughly clean the channel and surrounding surfaces with isopropyl alcohol or a mild cleaner; allow to dry.
- Inspect the new molding (BFS DB10205) and compare to the old unit to verify orientation and clip locations.
- Starting at one corner, align the new molding with the window channel and press it into place, working slowly around the perimeter to seat the molding evenly.
- Engage any retaining clips or tabs as you go; use a rubber mallet gently if necessary to fully seat the molding without damaging it.
- If the original installation used adhesive, apply a suitable weatherstrip adhesive per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions to the contact surfaces before final seating.
