Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and lower the rear window (if applicable) for access.
- Carefully pry up the old lower window molding using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching paint; remove any retaining clips with needle-nose pliers.
- Clean the mounting channel and surrounding area with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and wax.
- Inspect and replace any broken or corroded retaining clips; dry-fit the new molding (BLM DB9675) along the lower window edge to verify alignment.
- If the molding uses adhesive or tape, apply adhesive promoter or the recommended tape to the channel per product instructions.
- Starting from one end, press the new molding into place, engaging the clips or seating the molding into the channel. Use consistent pressure along the length to ensure a secure fit.
- Trim any excess material if necessary and recheck clip retention; use a heat gun on low setting to help conform the molding in cold conditions (optional).
- Clean the area and allow any adhesive to cure as recommended before driving; test for proper sealing by checking for gaps or water intrusion.
