Instructions:
- Park on level ground, set parking brake, and remove the key from the ignition.
- Lift the hood to access the cowl area and windshield base.
- Carefully remove any trim or grille pieces covering the cowl fasteners using a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver to avoid damaging surrounding panels.
- Use pliers or a screwdriver to remove the old/broken clips and retainers. Save any screws or bolts if they are in good condition.
- Clean the clip mounting holes and surrounding area with a rag to remove dirt and debris.
- Align the new fastener clip with the mounting hole; if the clip uses a separate retainer, position the retainer under the panel first.
- Press the clip firmly into the hole until it snaps or seats fully. If applicable, install the metal retainer and tighten any fastening screws or bolts to factory torque.
- Reinstall any trim or grille pieces that were removed and confirm the cowl panel is secure and properly aligned.
- Close the hood and check for proper fitment and absence of rattles or gaps. Recheck after a short test drive.
