Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake, and open the hood.
- Locate the damaged or missing cowl fasteners and remove any remaining clip fragments using a trim tool or flat screwdriver; use pliers for stubborn pieces.
- Clean mounting holes and surrounding area with a rag; remove dirt and corrosion so new clips seat properly.
- If helpful, apply a light spray of silicone lubricant to the clip shank for easier insertion.
- Align the cowl panel in its correct position against the firewall/fender apron.
- Insert each new fastener clip into the mounting hole and push firmly until the clip head is fully seated and the panel is secure.
- Check panel alignment and ensure there is no excessive movement; open and close the hood to confirm clearance.
- Repeat for all clip locations and re-check for proper fit and sealing against water intrusion.
