Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level surface and protect interior/exterior trim with drop cloths or tape.
- Remove interior trim, moldings, and any fasteners around the rear window to access the glass edge.
- Carefully cut and remove the old urethane or adhesive using a utility knife and scraper; vacuum away debris.
- Clean and degrease the pinch weld and glass seating area; apply pinch-weld primer where recommended by adhesive manufacturer.
- Apply primer to the glass glazing area if required, following the primer product instructions and allowing recommended flash time.
- Load urethane adhesive into a caulking gun and apply a continuous, even bead to the pinch weld perimeter consistent with adhesive manufacturer guidelines.
- Using suction cups, lift the replacement glass and position it into the opening. Align the glass with the body, then press firmly to seat into the urethane bead.
- Reinstall exterior and interior moldings, securing trim as you go. Use masking tape to hold glass position if needed while adhesive begins to set.
- Allow adhesive to cure undisturbed for the manufacturer-recommended time (typically 24 hours) before driving; avoid exposing to rain or excessive vibration.
- After cure, remove tape, reinstall any remaining trim or interior panels, and check for water leaks by gently running water over the sealed area.
