This oil pan gasket features modern cork/rubber material which is an improvement over the original cork-only design. It will maintain its shape and elasticity better than the original, and will help keep that restored engine compartment leak-free. It will work with many type of sealers but RTV seems to offer the best results.
TIP: When using RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) sealer make sure to apply it sparingly. You don't want globs to detach inside your oil pan and clog up important passages.
