Part of the A12127R & A12127RK rebuild kits. This should be a tight fit to the center of the distributor housing. Any play in this area will affect proper point adjustment. Extra play can be eliminated by peening the center hole of the upper plate.
Set the plate on a solid spot on a vise, then hit the shaft hole with a hammer.
