During production of door panels when there is a change from one color to another there is a run of the mold to clear any previous color residue. This results in off-color panels that vary in color which can not be sold as first quality. For those who can't use the blue, red, or black panels we offer, and must paint or dye panels to match their interior, it is a chance to save some $$$$. Ford's original 1973-79 Door Panel Tooling is used to manufacture these door panels, and they are as good or better basic quality as the originals. All contours, attachment points, and dimensions have been recreated. They will work with all original trim (trim pieces not included) and hardware. They just look a little odd until color matching is done. We recommend you use a good plastic prep and plastic primer so your topcoat will bond well.
