Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, set parking brake, and wear safety gear.
- Disconnect the battery negative (ground) cable first to prevent shorts.
- Remove the positive cable if needed and remove any existing hold-down hardware.
- Clean the battery tray area and inspect for corrosion or damage; repair if necessary.
- Place the battery into the tray and position the hold-down clamp/bracket over the battery lip so it aligns with the tray anchor points.
- Install and start the hold-down hardware (bolt/nut/stud) by hand to ensure proper alignment.
- Tighten the hardware evenly with a socket or wrench until the battery is held firmly—do not over-tighten or deform the battery case.
- Reconnect battery cables, connecting positive first, then negative last.
- Verify the battery is secure and there is no movement; recheck hardware after short test drive.
